Doll day!

We have a fabulous designer and seamstress in our ward who heard that several girls have American girl dolls...when she was growing up she waited a long time to get one and then loved designing clothes for her doll and she offered to do a "doll day" for the girls in the ward and help them make dresses. We helped her make a pattern with the dresses we already have and then we tried them out to make sure they worked before the big "doll day"...the girls had SO much fun!!!! We did it during the Priesthood session of conference so I had all the girls and of course little A wanted to see what was going on! :)

They cut out the dresses and got to help sew the skirts...they did a great job!!
Even Mg got a new dress for her doll...

And the final product! I can't believe we got three dresses done, including going through her fabric and such! M and E picked fabric that had to be lined so we really made more like 5 dresses in one evening. The girls did a GREAT job and Linnea is SUCH a sweetheart and we are SO grateful and had a great time..THANK YOU!!!
